Out of all the sections in the museum, the most talked about section is the one dedicated to archaeology. This wing displays sculptures from the Maurya and Sunga periods, architectural remains from Bharhut and Bodh Gaya, sculptures from Gandhara School of Art and Kushana, Gupta, Pala-Sena, Chandella, Hoysala, Chola, and Pallava periods, including displays of some Southeast Asian sculptures.
